Gmail, connected on your terms
Connect the Google account your company writes from and the Assistant sends through it — the exact message, after you approve it. Reading a mailbox for the support review is a separate connection, by IMAP, described on the SMTP/IMAP page.
Every account starts with a five-day trial. No card to start; prices are on the pricing page.
What is read
Nothing, through this connection. The Google connection sends mail and works with the calendar; the mailbox reading that finds customers waiting on you runs over IMAP, which is a separate connection you make on the same screen. Connecting Google does not start any reading.
What is sent
Approved messages only, from your address, threaded under the customer's own message, recorded with the message id on the customer's history.
Connecting
OAuth with Google; the state parameter is verified on the callback; tokens are sealed at rest and belong to your workspace. Disconnecting is a recorded destructive action.
Status in the product
The Connections screen shows connected or not connected for your workspace. Until connected, the Assistant tells you an email needs a mailbox that is not there — and does nothing.
Questions people ask
Does connecting Gmail give the Assistant my Drive or Docs?
No. Only the scopes the connection asks for, shown on Google's consent screen.
